When Arne Bryngelsson fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hermanö Oilers's protests and gave Arne Bryngelsson a yellow card for diving instead. Arne Bryngelsson hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Éloi Artus to make the kick off. Mourad Almeras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Bryngelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Sune Åberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hermanö Oilers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Kenneth Forsberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Éloi Artus in the 72nd minute. Kenneth Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marvin Mariotte, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Hermanö Oilers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Philippe Gimbert scored to the left of an out of position Kenneth Forsberg, making the score, 1-4.
