Egon Eliasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Penha in the 7th minute of the match. After 13 minutes of play Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Pål Håkansson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Carlos Fernando Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Wikander in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, São Paulo da Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Måns Forsberg came free, but Carlos Fernando Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egon Eliasson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. São Paulo da Floresta's Carlos Fernando Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Wikander in the 96th minute of play.
