The Kroton F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. George Hollingworth struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Armando Grande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boroondara Milan. Armando Grande came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Boroondara Milan's Jordon Czaczka. But to his dismay, Jordon Czaczka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 27th minute, Kroton F.C.'s Demetrio Martini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gregory Shearn. Gregory Shearn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Armando Grande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordon Czaczka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Bart Woods hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Gregory Shearn managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Kroton F.C.'s Ciccio Ruggieri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 43rd minute, Drake Couzens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Grande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Drake Boneheyo in the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jordon Czaczka to make the kick off.
