Paulo Napier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Sobral in the 4th minute of play forced Club Sports Pergamino's goalkeeper Paulo Napier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Anastasio Aurre fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Sports Pergamino's protests and gave Anastasio Aurre a yellow card for diving instead. Club Sports Pergamino's Paulo Napier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Sobral in the 8th minute of play. Palmiro Moniz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Paulo Napier made a huge save. Eliseo Urki charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Urki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Hugo Sobral made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Napier. Club Sports Pergamino's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Zarco Vaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melquiades Esquipula went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 28 minutes, Delmar Belmiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Sports Pergamino and the AMLUCHO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Sports Pergamino's Delmar Belmiro got a free kick in the 28th minute. Delmar Belmiro hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Avelino Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Napier having to interfere. After 37 played minutes AMLUCHO got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Liberato. Zarco Vaz came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Sports Pergamino's Delmar Belmiro. But to his dismay, Delmar Belmiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Palmiro Moniz made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Club Sports Pergamino booed when AMLUCHO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Palmiro Moniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Melquiades Esquipula managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Sports Pergamino's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Esquipula was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zarco Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st match minute, Club Sports Pergamino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Dolfos to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Napier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olívio Sousa in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Vicente Cabral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Napier. Club Sports Pergamino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vicente Cabral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 69 minutes into the match, Club Sports Pergamino's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Sobral came free, but Paulo Napier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Palmiro Moniz in the 70th minute of play forced Club Sports Pergamino's goalkeeper Paulo Napier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, AMLUCHO's Zarco Vaz got control of the ball when Isaac Dolfos tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to AMLUCHO getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Olívio Sousa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, AMLUCHO's Avelino Magalhães got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Vicente Cabral took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Napier. Paulo Napier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Paulo Napier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Liberato in the 92nd minute of play. Zarco Vaz made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Delmar Belmiro sent off a good shot on target. 97 minutes into the match, Melquiades Esquipula had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zarco Vaz. AMLUCHO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melquiades Esquipula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Despite being the better team, AMLUCHO failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
