Manuel Vulpescu kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Luisito Txurio's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Timișoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fidel Hernando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iustin Buligan went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the game, Rareș Fânaru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Fidel Hernando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fidel Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rareș Fânaru in the 42nd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angel Teofilio to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Niculae Moculescu took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Fidel Hernando to make any attempt to save it. 57 minutes into the match, Northern California's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Buligan came free, but Fidel Hernando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Northern California's goalkeeper Fidel Hernando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Buligan. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Iustin Buligan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Angelo Estebe hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Fidel Hernando successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 65th minute, Niculae Moculescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fidel Hernando was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 77th minute, Rareș Fânaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fidel Hernando was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Iustin Buligan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Fidel Hernando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iustin Buligan struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Fidel Hernando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Timișoara. 88 minutes into the match, Iustin Buligan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fidel Hernando, 0-9. In the 93rd minute of the match, Iustin Buligan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fidel Hernando was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Club Atlético Timișoara's Rareș Fânaru got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fidel Hernando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Fânaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the match was over Club Atlético Timișoara could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Northern California throughout the match.
