Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Kiliz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 5th minute Cipriano Corderun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lavrits Bjørnfalk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teddi Sobottke got free with Hermengildo Arotza in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oskar Valsgard struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Hermengildo Arotza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATOWN. A collision led to ATOWN getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Arne Andrijeska hit a great ball. Cipriano Corderun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lavrits Bjørnfalk having to interfere. A collision led to Academia Club getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Tomás Kiliz hit a great ball. When Hipolito Elequemedo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Academia Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Elequemedo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Academia Club's Iker Edwardo got a free kick in the 20th minute. The supporters of ATOWN booed when Academia Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Elequemedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Teddi Sobottke shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermengildo Arotza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 35 minutes of play, Academia Club's Hipolito Elequemedo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lavrits Bjørnfalk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hipolito Elequemedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Academia Club's Hermengildo Arotza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oskar Valsgard in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes ATOWN got a freekick which was hit by Teddi Sobottke. After the first half Academia Club were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hipolito Elequemedo was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, ATOWN's Lavrits Bjørnfalk got control of the ball when Tomás Kiliz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, ATOWN's Arne Andrijeska got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Abajas got free with Lavrits Bjørnfalk in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronni Arnov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the game, ATOWN's Ronni Arnov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hermengildo Arotza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Hermengildo Arotza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronni Arnov went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Godtfred Kellmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd match minute, Academia Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Kiliz to maneuver through the defense. Ronni Arnov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Hermengildo Arotza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Academia Club's Javier Fero suffered a sore thigh after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. ATOWN's Ronni Arnov got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Ronni Arnov off the ground. The supporters of Academia Club booed when ATOWN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronni Arnov didn't get a good kick on the ball. ATOWN's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
