The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Osman Ali Vatansever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Johannes Kristiansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johannes Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aykut Kutluay in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Trabzonspor getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Osman Ali Vatansever hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, BENA FK's Östen Bennet got a free kick in the 16th minute. When Trabzonspor's Timur Ulum in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BENA FK's goalie prevented a goal. Pål Klintæus charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pål Klintæus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, BENA FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pål Klintæus to maneuver through the defense. Johannes Kristiansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Göktuğ Yücealp in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Trabzonspor's zone, Östen Bennet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Korhan Yahya came out of the goal and Östen Bennet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Trabzonspor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Östen Bennet scored to the left of an out of position Korhan Yahya, making the score, 0-1. In the 55th minute, Arvin Hellström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johannes Kristiansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göktuğ Yücealp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Göktuğ Yücealp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Johannes Kristiansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76thth minute of the game Osman Ali Vatansever who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BENA FK's Johannes Kristiansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Timur Ulum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 minutes, Torbjörn Löfgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BENA FK and the Trabzonspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the BENA FK defense, Osman Ali Vatansever kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johannes Kristiansson. The BENA FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johannes Kristiansson should have stopped the shot. Trabzonspor's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Arvin Hellström 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. If Osman Ali Vatansever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle went the supporters of BENA FK were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Trabzonspor side.
