Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jean De Meesemaeckere started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, BENA FK's Marc Hökqvist got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 3rd play minutes Jean De Meesemaeckere shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Johannes Kristiansson and just under the crossbar into goal. Selebi-Phikwe's Tommi Ooms played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Hökqvist in the 9th minute of play. When Marc Hökqvist fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BENA FK's protests and gave Marc Hökqvist a yellow card for diving instead. Jean De Meesemaeckere who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Johannes Kristiansson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to BENA FK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Torgny Valström hit a great ball. Johannes Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean De Meesemaeckere in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute Pål Klintæus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommi Ooms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommi Ooms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pål Klintæus in the 28th minute of the match. If Erling Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Marc Hökqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BENA FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Hökqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Cederique Van Calster fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Selebi-Phikwe's protests and gave Cederique Van Calster a yellow card for diving instead. Cederique Van Calster hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the game, Herald Dedecker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selebi-Phikwe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BENA FK the free kick. Tommi Ooms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Villiam Hultman in the 34th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean De Meesemaeckere got free with Johannes Kristiansson in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Selebi-Phikwe's Jean De Meesemaeckere in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BENA FK's goalie prevented a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pål Klintæus to make the kick off. After some careless play in the BENA FK defense, Jean De Meesemaeckere kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johannes Kristiansson. The BENA FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johannes Kristiansson should have stopped the shot. Jean De Meesemaeckere scored 4-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johannes Kristiansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. BENA FK's Johannes Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Roeckeloes in the 67th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alain Roeckeloes in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johannes Kristiansson saved BENA FK from getting behind. In the 78th minute, BENA FK's Torbjörn Löfgren seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Torbjörn Löfgren the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of BENA FK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Torbjörn Löfgren had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of BENA FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Selebi-Phikwe:s goal. Johannes Kristiansson had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Thomas Gobeleyns's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Selebi-Phikwe's Thomas Gobeleyns nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Johannes Kristiansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alain Roeckeloes in the 95th minute of play forced BENA FK's goalkeeper Johannes Kristiansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Selebi-Phikwe's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
