After a defensive mix-up in De hijgende Hertjes's zone, Victoriano Ostots stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Floris Hoving came out of the goal and Victoriano Ostots tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafaela FC's German Ourente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitrie Iepmann in the 18th minute of play. Marcel Lammers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. German Ourente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Victoriano Ostots took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Floris Hoving to make any attempt to save it. Nigel Kooij scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of German Ourente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Victoriano Ostots hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Dimitrie Iepmann received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. German Ourente came out and tried to block the shot, but Dimitrie Iepmann slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 53rd minute. With a little luck, Rafaela FC's German Ourente got control of the ball when Dimitrie Iepmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of De hijgende Hertjes booed when Rafaela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Vermudo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafaela FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. 84 minutes into the match, De hijgende Hertjes's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Vito came free, but Floris Hoving reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Dimitrie Iepmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
