Spectators: 7516 (Terracing: 5638, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eduard Boroș took the kick off in the first half of the match. Johnny Visch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Giraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Gaizkine in the 6th minute of play forced Phoenix Strikers's goalkeeper Johnny Visch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Victorio Tanio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Phoenix Strikers's Johnny Visch. Johnny Visch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andres Gaizkine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduard Boroș's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Lanus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduard Boroș helped the player get up and apologised. Eduard Boroș hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Johnny Visch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Gaizkine in the 19th minute of the match. Ion Africano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Teofilio having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Eduard Boroș had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Astor Teofilio. Club Atletico Lanus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduard Boroș was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Strikers's Ion Africano got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ion Africano's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Lanus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ion Africano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Victorio Tanio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johnny Visch was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Johnny Visch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Tanio in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Gaizkine to make the kick off. Andres Gaizkine who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Johnny Visch when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 55th match minute, Phoenix Strikers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Africano to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes Phoenix Strikers got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Boroș. Astor Teofilio came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Strikers's Cazimir Ceaușu. But to his dismay, Cazimir Ceaușu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Club Atletico Lanus's Astor Teofilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Boroș in the 67th minute of play. Johnny Visch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Tanio in the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Lanus's Juan Olando got a free kick in the 75th minute. Eduard Boroș kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
