The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Tyski during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Phoenix Strikers booed when Robotnicy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislaw Kasprzak came out of the goal and Eduard Boroș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomasz Majerowicz hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Marin Pietreanu charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stanislaw Kasprzak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Boroș in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damazy Bochinski in the 27th minute of play forced Phoenix Strikers's goalkeeper Johnny Visch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Costin Dobrițoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnny Visch acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Adam Kornaszewski. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ion Africano sped through Robotnicy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stanislaw Kasprzak. The supporters of Phoenix Strikers booed when Robotnicy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Tyski didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Mocanu, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Robotnicy were furious when Aureliusz Januszewski was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Eduard Boroș made the kick off in the second half. Ion Africano kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Phoenix Strikers's Ion Africano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The supporters of Phoenix Strikers booed when Robotnicy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Galaska didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eduard Boroș came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Phoenix Strikers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduard Boroș couldn't finish the play. Marin Pietreanu hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Eduard Boroș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Phoenix Strikers booed when Robotnicy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Czubski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Ion Africano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stanislaw Kasprzak. The goal made the score 0-3. Franciszek Koperski kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. David Mocanu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stanislaw Kasprzak. Robotnicy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 78th minute, Phoenix Strikers's Ion Africano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Robotnicy's Stanislaw Kasprzak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Robotnicy from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Phoenix Strikers had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
