Severino Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Clemente Fonda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lúcio dos Santos. XV de Indaial's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clemente Fonda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Atilano Vergaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Fonda came free, but Lúcio dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lúcio dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Vergaray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Furtado in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Atilano Vergaray made a precise shot to the right of Lúcio dos Santos. XV de Indaial's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Lúcio dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Fonda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After some careless play in the XV de Indaial defense, Atilano Vergaray kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio dos Santos. The XV de Indaial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio dos Santos should have stopped the shot. Lúcio dos Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raul Furtado went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. If Clemente Fonda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severino Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd play minute Clemente Fonda came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lúcio dos Santos. 0-6. Lúcio dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Clemente Fonda sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's goalkeeper Lúcio dos Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raul Furtado. After 68 minutes, Dinei Britto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the XV de Indaial and the Terapia Intensiva players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Dinei Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atilano Vergaray might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio dos Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Atilano Vergaray ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute, Clemente Fonda made a precise shot to the right of Lúcio dos Santos. XV de Indaial's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. In the 74th minute Raul Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lúcio dos Santos was a little too slow when Raul Furtado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-8. Raul Furtado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lúcio dos Santos firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilano Vergaray in the 80th minute of play forced XV de Indaial's goalkeeper Lúcio dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Raul Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. XV de Indaial's Lúcio dos Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save XV de Indaial from getting a goal against them. Damaso Cresconio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 94 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Furtado came free, but Lúcio dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nelson Travassos fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XV de Indaial's protests and gave Nelson Travassos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to XV de Indaial getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Nelson Travassos hit a great ball. If Clemente Fonda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
