In the 29th minute Robbie Van Eijken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Melito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the LEBEG Team defense, Matthieu Leempoels kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Melito. The LEBEG Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Melito should have stopped the shot. Francesco Costacurta kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Cavanna in the 46th minute of play forced Flamenco United's goalkeeper Christoff Dirckx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
