The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Fábio Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoff Dirckx having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Maicon de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia Militar MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Maicon de Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christoff Dirckx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Academia Militar MZ's Gualter Nóbrega got a free kick in the 13th minute. Flamenco United's Christoff Dirckx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon de Almeida in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Vermeulen in the 29th minute of play forced Academia Militar MZ's goalkeeper Bernardinho Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Academia Militar MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Youri Goolen came free, but Bernardinho Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Youri Goolen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardinho Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Youri Goolen took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardinho Freire. Bernardinho Freire dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Academia Militar MZ were furious when Cacá Souto was red carded, 42 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Flamenco United a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hannes De Reijck, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Academia Militar MZ's Bernardinho Freire. 0-3. After the first half Flamenco United were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Youri Goolen made the kick off in the second half. Robbie Van Eijken kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Enéas Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Academia Militar MZ's Bernardinho Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Militar MZ from getting a goal against them. Youri Goolen came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bernardinho Freire could save by the left post. A collision led to Flamenco United getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Matthieu Leempoels hit a great ball. Bernardinho Freire was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Edward Wuyts capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edward Wuyts really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. 70 minutes into the game, Gualter Nóbrega was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia Militar MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamenco United the free kick. In the 70th minute, Gualter Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joseph Vermeulen charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joseph Vermeulen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Gino Neto came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Academia Militar MZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gino Neto couldn't finish the play. Bernardinho Freire was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edward Wuyts showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 77 minute of play. Matthieu Leempoels who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Bernardinho Freire when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edward Wuyts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Bernardinho Freire made a huge save. Bernardinho Freire was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Matthieu Leempoels capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Matthieu Leempoels really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Bernardinho Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Wuyts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Flamenco United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Academia Militar MZ.
