Clodoveo Blanco hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Cirilo Tebaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Soter in the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Isidro Ihazintu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astros de México's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pink Floyd the free kick. In the 7th minute, Isidro Ihazintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the game, Felipe Galtero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pink Floyd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astros de México the free kick. Felipe Galtero hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Clodoveo Blanco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cirilo Tebaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Soter in the 26th minute of the match. When Arsenio Calixto came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Astros de México fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arsenio Calixto couldn't finish the play. Arsenio Calixto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Cirilo Tebaldo made a huge save. When Aaron Jon fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pink Floyd's protests and gave Aaron Jon a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Pink Floyd got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Jon. Arsenio Calixto might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cirilo Tebaldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arsenio Calixto ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Pink Floyd's Aaron Jon got a free kick in the 34th minute. Cirilo Tebaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Soter in the 35th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pink Floyd defense, Joaquin Soter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cirilo Tebaldo. The Pink Floyd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cirilo Tebaldo should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquin Soter to make the kick off. Cirilo Tebaldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atilano Ekialde went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Joaquin Soter took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cirilo Tebaldo. Cirilo Tebaldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Siro Dimo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astros de México's supporters rose to their feet, but Siro Dimo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cirilo Tebaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Soter in the 68th minute of play forced Pink Floyd's goalkeeper Cirilo Tebaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astros de México's goalkeeper Rigoberto Ilixo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cirilo Tebaldo came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Astros de México's Joaquin Soter. But to his dismay, Joaquin Soter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 84 minutes into the match, Joaquin Soter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cirilo Tebaldo. Pink Floyd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquin Soter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After 87 minutes, Fernando Gartxot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pink Floyd and the Astros de México players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Pink Floyd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Gartxot to maneuver through the defense. Clodoveo Blanco charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clodoveo Blanco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Pink Floyd got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Blanco. There was no doubt that Astros de México were the better team. Astros de México's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
