The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Nascimento. Hamilton Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Gaeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gastão Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 15 in the game by Anfilogino Gaeta from a close distance when the talented Hamilton Poças managed to make a qualified save. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s players were relieved. Scofield Volante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Óscar Soares took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Scofield Volante. Scofield Volante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 25thth minute of the game Anfilogino Gaeta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Hamilton Poças was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hamilton Poças stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anfilogino Gaeta's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Hamilton Poças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonello Molinari in the 30th minute of the match. Squadra de Pippe's Anfilogino Gaeta got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augusto Marini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Hamilton Poças made a huge save. A collision led to Squadra de Pippe getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ciro Biondi hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Squadra de Pippe's goal looked a bit too open when Isac Mota came free, but Scofield Volante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 54 minutes, Óscar Soares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. and the Squadra de Pippe players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Óscar Soares hit a great ball. A hard shot 57 in the game by Óscar Soares from a close distance when the talented Scofield Volante managed to make a qualified save. Squadra de Pippe's players were relieved. 60 minutes into the match, Silvano Morais dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Scofield Volante, 0-2. Hamilton Poças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Gaeta in the 64th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Anfilogino Gaeta came free, but Hamilton Poças reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scofield Volante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Mota in the 70th minute of play. David Azenha hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Antonello Molinari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonello Molinari's late challenge caught a Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonello Molinari helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Squadra de Pippe getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Antonello Molinari hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Ciro Biondi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 87 minutes, Óscar Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Óscar Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Squadra de Pippe's Scofield Volante got control of the ball when Silvano Morais tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Leal Leitão got a free kick in the 90th minute. The Squadra de Pippe supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Sporting Clube V.R.S.A..
