Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) PLASNIKE's Gualterio Estebano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Galvão struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Ladislao Tonete didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giovana F C. Ladislao Tonete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Galvão in the 10th minute of play. Gualterio Estebano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adilson Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Herauso in the 18th minute of play. Joaquim Veiga hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Arthur Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Herauso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonzalo Eleazar hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes PLASNIKE got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Rubio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Herauso in the 32nd minute of play forced Giovana F C's goalkeeper Adilson Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PLASNIKE's Ladislao Tonete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Pontes in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Giovana F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wesley Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. Gualterio Estebano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adilson Pirani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Daniel Galvão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Giovana F C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ladislao Tonete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Galvão in the 48th minute of play. The PLASNIKE players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Giovana F C were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Joaquim Veiga made the kick off in the second half. Nicanor Odilon's late challenge caught a Giovana F C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Odilon helped the player get up and apologised. Nicanor Odilon kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes PLASNIKE got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Hegoi. In the 63rd minute, Anibal Hegoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st match minute, Giovana F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Penha to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Herauso might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adilson Pirani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Herauso ran back to his position shaking his head. 77 minutes into the match, Ricardo Herauso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adilson Pirani. Giovana F C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Herauso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 82nd minute, Anibal Hegoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adilson Pirani was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Giovana F C's Joaquim Veiga got a free kick in the 84th minute. A collision led to PLASNIKE getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Anibal Hegoi hit a great ball. Ladislao Tonete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giovana F C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
