Xines Herriaga ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan Reints made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xines Herriaga in the 8th minute of play. Xines Herriaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Reints read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. If Stephan Hoogland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Barry Wilson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franklin Polo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Jan Reints made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xines Herriaga in the 19th minute of play forced SCs StarS's goalkeeper Jan Reints to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xines Herriaga charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xines Herriaga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Taltum FC's Xines Herriaga got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Jan Reints took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xines Herriaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SCs StarS getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Arnout Schokkenbroek hit a great ball. When Job Wilhelm fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SCs StarS's protests and gave Job Wilhelm a yellow card for diving instead. Sebastiaan Hofland charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastiaan Hofland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SCs StarS getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Sebastiaan Hofland hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SCs StarS's zone, Mellington Aniego stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Reints came out of the goal and Mellington Aniego tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Valencia Cifuentes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SCs StarS's Stephan Hoogland shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After some careless play in the SCs StarS defense, Xines Herriaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Reints. The SCs StarS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Reints should have stopped the shot. 58 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Polo came free, but Jan Reints reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ordóñez Cuesta came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Taltum FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ordóñez Cuesta couldn't finish the play. Jan Reints took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin Polo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stephan Hoogland during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The tension between the SCs StarS and the Taltum FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Pieter Boekholt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Taltum FC had played much better football throughout.
