After some careless play in the BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI defense, Belmiro Traverso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Taner Koralp. The BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Taner Koralp should have stopped the shot. In the 25th match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Gillan to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Reha Yaman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Amado Mas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Chillán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Mas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Kuzey Değer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter de Chillán the free kick. A collision led to BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Kuzey Değer hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Ian Gillan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Taner Koralp was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. If Ian Gillan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taner Koralp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iván Imaz's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kuzey Değer was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muharrem Satır didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th match minute, BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ersin Özak to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Juan Pablo Toro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Gillan came free, but Taner Koralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's Taner Koralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iván Imaz in the 69th minute of play. When the match had been going on for 73 minutes, Inter de Chillán's Amado Mas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Taner Koralp. Iván Imaz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 83rd playminute. If Bairon Bernales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Taner Koralp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iván Imaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Inter de Chillán could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI throughout the match.
