Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Beira Alta's Pinto Da Costa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Murillo Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pinto Da Costa in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Grêmio FBPA's Ulisses Prestes got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute of the match Lisa Rachel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murillo Gonçalves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 8 played minutes Beira Alta got a freekick which was hit by Pinto Da Costa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lisa Rachel during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Beira Alta getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lisa Rachel hit a great ball. Ronaldo Ramos, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 23rd minute Jacob Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Beira Alta fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Beira Alta's Pinto Da Costa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 35th match minute, Beira Alta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Sá to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Marcelinho Meireles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Baltasar Queiroga. Marcelinho Meireles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Edu Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Baltasar Queiroga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelinho Meireles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Beira Alta's Daniel Sá got a free kick in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's Ronaldo Ramos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Beira Alta's Jacob Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the game, Pinto Da Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Murillo Gonçalves. Pinto Da Costa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Edu Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarbas Marinho made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Joélson Guimarães. Murillo Gonçalves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacob Costa in the 71st minute. Grêmio FBPA's Edu Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho Meireles in the 78th minute of play forced Beira Alta's goalkeeper Baltasar Queiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltasar Queiroga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joélson Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes, Jacob Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beira Alta and the Grêmio FBPA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Beira Alta's Jacob Costa got a free kick in the 81st minute. Baltasar Queiroga came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio FBPA's Ulisses Prestes. But to his dismay, Ulisses Prestes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. 94 minutes into the match, Beira Alta's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Zonta came free, but Baltasar Queiroga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murillo Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pinto Da Costa in the 95th minute of the match.
