Vila Mascote FC's Rafinha Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteve Toribio in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vila Mascote FC's Duda Ramos got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Edgard Uzuri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpo de Bahia Blanca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 21st minute Edgard Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Faustino Markel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Lago in the 23rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Horado during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Gilberto Horado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteve Toribio made a kick off. If Edgard Uzuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo de Moraes came free, but Faustino Markel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Serafim Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Markel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Uzuri's late challenge caught a Vila Mascote FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Uzuri helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vila Mascote FC booed when Olimpo de Bahia Blanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Uzuri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Esteve Toribio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafinha Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Rafinha Godoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esteve Toribio went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Luiz Eduardo Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Esteve Dino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes Olimpo de Bahia Blanca got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Uzuri. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Esteve Toribio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteve Toribio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafinha Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Olimpo de Bahia Blanca getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Silvano Artaldo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Ceresso in the 88th minute of play forced Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goalkeeper Faustino Markel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edgard Uzuri was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
