If Urbano Harriet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Araújo in the 14th minute of play forced Halcones Azules's goalkeeper Laureano Gonza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Halcones Azules's Maximo Loramendi got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 24 played minutes Halcones Azules got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Rito. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Cássio Araújo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Laureano Gonza to make any attempt to save it. Laureano Gonza made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Olavo Bastos sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Urbano Harriet made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Serafim Vinhas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vila Mascote FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halcones Azules the free kick. In the 53rd minute, Serafim Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the match Isidro Cuarto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafinha Godoi skillfully saved the ball. In the 58th minute, Godofredo Rito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Gonza having to interfere. Fernando Sabóia struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Laureano Gonza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Mascote FC. Laureano Gonza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guilherme Pombal went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 75th match minute, Halcones Azules was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicasio Calvet to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th match minute, Halcones Azules was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Paul to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th match minute, Halcones Azules was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godofredo Rito to maneuver through the defense. Halcones Azules's Luciano Marcones was substituted for Jaime Paul. Halcones Azules's Mariano Fonda was substituted for Genaro Mendiko. Luiz Eduardo Vergílio's late challenge caught a Halcones Azules's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Eduardo Vergílio helped the player get up and apologised. Luiz Eduardo Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The long shot by Maximo Loramendi in the 82nd minute really tested Rafinha Godoi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guilherme Pombal in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laureano Gonza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Halcones Azules booed when Vila Mascote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urbano Harriet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristobal Bertin charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristobal Bertin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Olavo Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Maximo Loramendi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Halcones Azules's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Bastos came free, but Laureano Gonza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guilherme Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vila Mascote FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
