After 2 minutes, Moïse Pilot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cosa nostra Lyon and the Red John S.K players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Moïse Pilot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 6 minutes into the match, Luís Paulo Zonta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmid Lamouroux. Cosa nostra Lyon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Paulo Zonta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 13th minute Reginaldo Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmid Lamouroux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Red John S.K's Christian Monteiro got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Monteiro came free, but Ahmid Lamouroux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmid Lamouroux didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Monteiro went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 23rd match minute, Red John S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Passos to maneuver through the defense. Dominique Favrot's late challenge caught a Red John S.K's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dominique Favrot helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Red John S.K booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominique Favrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Christian Monteiro put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Ahmid Lamouroux. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when Red John S.K was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilmar Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmid Lamouroux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sanderson Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Steven Lebreton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Christian Monteiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ahmid Lamouroux, 1-5. Ahmid Lamouroux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Christian Monteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmid Lamouroux was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Reginaldo Donatello came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ahmid Lamouroux could save by the left post. Cosa nostra Lyon's Ahmid Lamouroux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo Zonta in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Red John S.K getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Bebeto Cearense hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Red John S.K's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Lebreton came free, but Severino Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosa nostra Lyon's Ahmid Lamouroux proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Cosa nostra Lyon from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute of the match, Luís Paulo Zonta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ahmid Lamouroux saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luís Paulo Zonta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ahmid Lamouroux came out and tried to block the shot, but Luís Paulo Zonta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 81st minute. After 90 played minutes Red John S.K got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Cearense. Daniel Belon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Severino Aguiar. Red John S.K's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Red John S.K's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
