Talcampeón FC's Cosme Mella got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saul Etxeberri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Larraguibel's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Roberto Larraguibel might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saul Etxeberri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Larraguibel ran back to his position shaking his head. Roberto Larraguibel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Saul Etxeberri made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Roberto Larraguibel made the kick off in the second half. Agustin Jakobe hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. A collision led to San Fernando Eagles getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Eusebio Estefan hit a great ball. When Agustin Jakobe came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the San Fernando Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Jakobe couldn't finish the play. Talcampeón FC's Sandro Asenjo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Talcampeón FC from getting a goal against them. In the 64th minute, Agustin Jakobe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Larraguibel in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saul Etxeberri saved San Fernando Eagles from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Larraguibel in the 67th minute of play forced San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Saul Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Roberto Larraguibel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saul Etxeberri was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After 76 played minutes Talcampeón FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Larraguibel. In the 78thth minute of the game Roberto Larraguibel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Fernando Eagles's Saul Etxeberri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of San Fernando Eagles booed when Talcampeón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Raineri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agustin Jakobe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Sandro Asenjo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. San Fernando Eagles had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
