Spectators: 7858 (Terracing: 5894, Seating: 1808, VIP seats: 156) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Costel Dorineanu got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Vărzaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gwidon Chowaniec. In the 5th match minute, FC Buzău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Cismarescu to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 6 minutes, Szczepan Olszewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Grodzka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Szczepan Olszewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, FC Buzău's Gheorghe Vărzaru got control of the ball when Gwidon Chowaniec tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gwidon Chowaniec got free with Gheorghe Vărzaru in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the game, FC Buzău's Costel Dorineanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zdzislaw Walentowicz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 43 minutes into the match, FC Grodzka's goal looked a bit too open when Costel Dorineanu came free, but Zdzislaw Walentowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costel Dorineanu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Vărzaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Chowaniec in the 44th minute of play. Zdzislaw Walentowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Dorineanu in the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Gwidon Chowaniec made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, FC Grodzka's Gwidon Chowaniec made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gheorghe Vărzaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Chowaniec in the 58th minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Vărzaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC Grodzka's Zdzislaw Walentowicz got control of the ball when Albert Andrieșanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zdzislaw Walentowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Săndulescu in the 62nd minute of play. When Grzegorz Bielenda fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Grodzka's protests and gave Grzegorz Bielenda a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes FC Grodzka got a freekick which was hit by Grzegorz Bielenda. The audience cheered loudly when David Cismarescu's long shot in the 80th minute became 1-3 when the ball went to the left of and passed Zdzislaw Walentowicz. After having played for 87 minutes, Sorin Zâncă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Buzău's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sorin Zâncă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Szczepan Olszewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Grodzka's Zdzislaw Walentowicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save FC Grodzka from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeusz Siekierka during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, FC Grodzka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeusz Siekierka to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded FC Buzău left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Grodzka.
