The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Birger Ekgren put in a rough tackle. 19 minutes into the game, one of BK Värdsholmen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Feliciano Chorche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Termander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Verner Helström took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Feliciano Chorche. Feliciano Chorche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Feliciano Chorche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Termander in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of BK Värdsholmen booed when San Martin de Tucumán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Sanduru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Christer Termander could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Feliciano Chorche however easily saved by the left post. In the 66th minute, Orlando Sanduru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 played minutes BK Värdsholmen got a freekick which was hit by Filip Hedman. Feliciano Chorche made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Christer Termander sent off a good shot on target. Christer Termander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feliciano Chorche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. If Christer Termander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
