Spectators: 7886 (Terracing: 5915, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 157) After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's César Severo got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute Costel Dorineanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute of the match FC Buzău got a corner. ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Albert Andrieșanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Buzău's Albert Andrieșanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Arlindo Romero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sorin Zâncă had several of the ATHLETICO PRaiano's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Arlindo Romero as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 13th minute Adhemar Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Vărzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arlindo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Dabija in the 15th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Vargas. Arlindo Romero was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from David Cismarescu. If Costel Dorineanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigore Hulubei hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. José Paulo Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gheorghe Vărzaru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Virgílio Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Costel Dorineanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Adhemar Diniz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gheorghe Vărzaru was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Arlindo Romero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. César Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Costel Dorineanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arlindo Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sorin Zâncă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC Buzău booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iuri Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arlindo Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Dorineanu in the 55th minute of play. Arlindo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Dorineanu in the 60th minute of the match. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Alberto Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Murilo Sanches hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Andrieșanu came free, but Arlindo Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodor Pârcălab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Arlindo Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arlindo Romero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Florin Barascu kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Buzău had won after a very even match.
