German Montoya came out of the goal and Generoso Osoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Félix Santana hit a great ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Juan Manuel Martínez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GuateFortín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Manuel Martínez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Valenzuela in the 21st minute of play forced Forever Tango's goalkeeper Aristides Poncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Jaime Alvarez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aristides Poncio was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Generoso Osoro took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for German Montoya to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Jorge Valenzuela got a free kick in the 54th minute. German Montoya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jimeno Nahia in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Forever Tango defense, Gabriel Brizuela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aristides Poncio. The Forever Tango fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aristides Poncio should have stopped the shot. GuateFortín made a substitution. Wilmer Ocampo replaced Félix Santana. GuateFortín made a substitution. Alexander Lozano replaced Jorge Collado. Juan Manuel Martínez charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. German Montoya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Osoro in the 87th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niceto Urritz got free with German Montoya in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 89 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Wilmer Ocampo. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
