With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eurico Figueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of 『挑战者』兄弟·努力 booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Sacadura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute of the match 余树烨 shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eurico Figueira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gervásio Simões during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Couto during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Couto. In the 41stth minute of the game 武真广 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio Viana's Eurico Figueira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Gervásio Simões got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute, 武真广 made a precise shot to the right of Eurico Figueira. Gremio Viana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 58th minute, Carlos Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 武亮洋 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by 武真广 in the 78th minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Eurico Figueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
