An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Gallego in the 8th minute of play forced Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Gavino Osorio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Evaristo Ekaitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter de Guayaquil FC the free kick. Evaristo Ekaitz hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Camacho Goiri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Gavino Osorio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alvaro Sagarribay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Shantala in the 36th minute of play. If Gabriel Gallego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Mussoll in the 42nd minute of play forced Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Gavino Osorio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Gallego in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gavino Osorio saved Belgrano LOS PIRATAS from getting behind. Gavino Osorio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Gallego's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After the first half Inter de Guayaquil FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st match minute, Inter de Guayaquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Mussoll to maneuver through the defense. Franco Mussoll received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gavino Osorio came out and tried to block the shot, but Franco Mussoll slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 55th minute. Antonio Shantala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Sagarribay having to interfere. Eusebio Leoiar kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the game Maximiliano Sabando made a throw-in which Miguel Celama played forward. Gavino Osorio made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Franco Mussoll sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute Antonio Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Sagarribay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Carlos Isias quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Miguel Celama, made in the 79th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Ekaitz came free, but Alvaro Sagarribay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Gallego scored 0-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavino Osorio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th match minute, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Ekaitz to maneuver through the defense. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Inter de Guayaquil FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
