AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gabriel Gallego 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Franco Mussoll sped through AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonty Connell. After 24 minutes, Ralph Turner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB and the Inter de Guayaquil FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ralph Turner hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camacho Goiri got free with Jonty Connell in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonty Connell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franco Mussoll in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Franco Mussoll nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonty Connell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's Jonty Connell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Turner in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Sagarribay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Alvaro Sagarribay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralph Turner in the 42nd minute of play. Gabriel Gallego scored 5-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonty Connell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franco Mussoll was the one to do the kick off. Ralph Turner struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Alvaro Sagarribay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB. After 60 played minutes AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Aron Blestowe. Gabriel Gallego didn't quite understand what happened when in the 62 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Inter de Guayaquil FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gabriel Gallego in the 65th minute. Alvaro Sagarribay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Turner in the 67th minute of play. Alvaro Sagarribay made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Lance Aylwin sent off a good shot on target. Alvaro Sagarribay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ralph Turner's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Ralph Turner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Turner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonty Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valiente Tebar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ralph Turner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alvaro Sagarribay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Sagarribay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Turner in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Sagarribay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvaro Sagarribay didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 89th minute, which inside left pole to 5-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Inter de Guayaquil FC.
