Gabriel Gallego helped the player get up and apologised. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Otsando Roberto was substituted for Brun Vela. Gabriel Gallego hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Alarcón Mallavia kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Marcos Sagastia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Sagarribay having to interfere. Oliviero Vados showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camacho Goiri, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Mussoll in the 19th minute of play forced E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goalkeeper Oliviero Vados to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Sagarribay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubio Echaitia. Oliviero Vados came out of the goal and Valiente Tebar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Valiente Tebar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Rubio Echaitia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubio Echaitia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvaro Sagarribay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Sagastia in the 43rd minute. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Oliviero Vados played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Gallego in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Perutxo Diego to strike the kick off in the second half. 62 minutes into the match, Rubio Echaitia notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Inter de Guayaquil FC's Alvaro Sagarribay. Alvaro Sagarribay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubio Echaitia in the 96th minute of the match.
