Spectators: 7723 (Terracing: 5793, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) A A Arizona's Nilton Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Nilton Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A A Arizona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilton Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 4th minute Hermínio Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corder Clubley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 played minutes A A Arizona got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Cavalcante. In the 9th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Osbiston to maneuver through the defense. Elderslie Magpies's Ed Howard got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of A A Arizona booed when Elderslie Magpies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brock Devine didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rod Stephens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademir Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brad Missen, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Corder Clubley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Cavalcante in the 38th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Byron Osbiston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Simão Sena made a precise shot to the right of Corder Clubley. Elderslie Magpies's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half A A Arizona were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Drake Crampton kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Corder Clubley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Martin Bailey hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Nilton Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raleigh Dale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Amaral having to interfere. Corder Clubley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Sena in the 73rd minute of the match. Simão Sena had several of the Elderslie Magpies's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Corder Clubley as he didn't even see the shot coming. Corder Clubley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rod Stephens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Amaral having to interfere. Corder Clubley was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Simão Sena showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 86 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Byron Osbiston during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Elderslie Magpies's Byron Osbiston got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Corder Clubley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tarcisio Terra in the 96th minute. Tarcisio Terra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Corder Clubley made a huge save. A A Arizona played a much better game than Elderslie Magpies and deserved their victory. The Elderslie Magpies players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
