The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sebati Erendiz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Silvio Lastarria when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Ruzgar Gibi Geçti booed when Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Gamboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 minutes, Sadri Özinan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ruzgar Gibi Geçti and the Magallanes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sadri Özinan hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of Magallanes booed when Ruzgar Gibi Geçti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ümit Garipbaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Baldomero Gamboa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kuddusî Sanak. Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomero Gamboa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Silvio Lastarria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emre Sadiray in the 34th minute of play. Magallanes's Silvio Lastarria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emre Sadiray in the 39th minute of play. Silvio Lastarria was a little too slow when Emre Sadiray got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-1. 45 minutes into the match, Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Emre Sadiray came free, but Silvio Lastarria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

53 minutes into the match, Emre Sadiray had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvio Lastarria. Magallanes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emre Sadiray was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Magallanes made a substitution. When Sebati Erendiz came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ruzgar Gibi Geçti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebati Erendiz couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ümit Garipbaş in the 72nd minute of play forced Magallanes's goalkeeper Silvio Lastarria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Emir Eralkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Silvio Lastarria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebati Erendiz in the 76th minute of play forced Magallanes's goalkeeper Silvio Lastarria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Sebati Erendiz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Magallanes's Silvio Lastarria. Silvio Lastarria was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebati Erendiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. In the 90th match minute, Magallanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Mackenzie to maneuver through the defense. Silvio Lastarria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ümit Garipbaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Magallanes getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Erik Serpa hit a great ball. Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
