Pauliström's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Mårtensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darin Marks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Stålman in the 29th minute of play. Darin Marks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Browall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Johan Åkerström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Sewell in the 35th minute of play. Ivar Browall's late challenge caught a C. A. Pipon Pipon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivar Browall helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pauliström getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ivar Browall hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bobby Fisher during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes C. A. Pipon Pipon got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Fisher. Pauliström's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marcos Sewell 48 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. C. A. Pipon Pipon made a substitution. Foster Romero replaced Max Calvert.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivar Browall to make the kick off. A collision led to C. A. Pauliström's Karl-Johan Åkerström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Sewell in the 89th minute of play. Karl-Johan Åkerström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Sewell, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 93 played minutes Pauliström got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Stålman. In the 94th minute, Marcos Sewell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The long shot by Ingvar Apelquist in the 97th minute really tested Darin Marks's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Pauliström booed when C. A. Pipon Pipon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Landon Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to C. A. Pipon Pipon getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Thaddeus Wiley hit a great ball. Darin Marks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Mårtensson's shot from short distance in the 101st minute. Pauliström's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
