The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the THE CLUB defense, Domingo Rosio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iker Casillas. The THE CLUB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iker Casillas should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Baladi in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Casillas saved THE CLUB from getting behind. Slavcho Mandzhukov took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evaristo Chago. Evaristo Chago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Slavcho Mandzhukov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Evaristo Chago made a huge save. If Leopoldo Formerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Formerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Formerio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Iker Casillas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Venko Dushev's late challenge caught a Las Momias F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Venko Dushev helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for THE CLUB! Leopoldo Formerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Iker Casillas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. THE CLUB's Ventzislav Gerginov got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iker Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Formerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Formerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Casillas having to interfere.

The wind increased when Leopoldo Formerio made the kick off in the second half. Evaristo Chago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slavcho Mandzhukov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 57th minute of the match Venko Dushev completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Venko Dushev a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Venko Dushev hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Leopoldo Formerio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ciro Baladi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. THE CLUB made a substitution. Valko Pandov replaced Nikifor Groshkov. Nano Ginev struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Evaristo Chago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for THE CLUB. After some careless play in the Las Momias F. C. defense, Svetozar Mavrodiev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evaristo Chago. The Las Momias F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evaristo Chago should have stopped the shot. The THE CLUB fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when THE CLUB's Nano Ginev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 95 played minutes Las Momias F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Viviano. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The THE CLUB fans cheered their team off the field, for while Las Momias F. C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
