In the 8th minute, Svetozar Mavrodiev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sándor Jászberényi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Slavcho Mandzhukov's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. When Vidyo Ukov fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored THE CLUB's protests and gave Vidyo Ukov a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, THE CLUB's Vidyo Ukov got a free kick in the 21st minute. Peyo Hantov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sándor Jászberényi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, László Medgyesi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Casillas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 36 minutes into the game, Ventzislav Gerginov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sándor Jászberényi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 40 minutes, Ventzislav Gerginov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. THE CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ventzislav Gerginov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, THE CLUB's Iker Casillas got control of the ball when László Medgyesi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sándor Jászberényi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ventzislav Gerginov, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Slavcho Mandzhukov to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ottó Gyarmati in the 70th minute of play forced THE CLUB's goalkeeper Iker Casillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Róbert Tamás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sándor Jászberényi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ventzislav Gerginov in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, THE CLUB's Yanaki Karaganchev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sándor Jászberényi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Gyál United from getting a goal against them.
