After 9 minutes of play, Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Martin Silvino made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateo Beturian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Domingues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. If Mateo Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Mateo Beturian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. LUIZ PANATO's Ronaldo Nóbrega quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Silvio Miro, made in the 29th minute of the game. LUIZ PANATO's Rômulo Cearense got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to LUIZ PANATO getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rômulo Cearense hit a great ball. In the 39th match minute, Atletico Calamar Saavedra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Hechter to maneuver through the defense. If Martin Silvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Atletico Calamar Saavedra's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Domingues came free, but Iker Gilen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Iker Gilen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Afonso Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Haroldo Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atletico Calamar Saavedra walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
