Spectators: 7673 (Terracing: 5755, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Candido Alba started the match with the kick off. Candido Alba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basílio Maranhense having to make a save. Basílio Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Alba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basílio Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Alba in the 8th minute of play. Candido Alba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Maranhense having to interfere. After 12 played minutes ☠QUINTERO☠ got a freekick which was hit by Remicio Cancino. In the 16th minute of the match INTER FC got a corner. ☠QUINTERO☠'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benê Simão ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 21stth minute of the game Ricart Olmos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INTER FC's Basílio Maranhense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Alba came free, but Basílio Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricart Olmos came free, but Basílio Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benê Simão got free with Leovigildo Zambrano in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39thth minute of the game Florencio Martens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INTER FC's Basílio Maranhense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leovigildo Zambrano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. INTER FC's Basílio Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Alba in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Carlos Teixeira to strike the kick off in the second half. Basílio Maranhense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Candido Alba went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Basílio Maranhense acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 61st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tomasino Trujillo. After 63 minutes of play, ☠QUINTERO☠'s Florencio Martens made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio Maranhense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silas Romero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leovigildo Zambrano. ☠QUINTERO☠'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, ☠QUINTERO☠'s Vicente Searle got a free kick in the 76th minute. ☠QUINTERO☠ made a substitution. Visen Garrido replaced Ricart Olmos. In the 78th minute of the match Benê Simão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leovigildo Zambrano skillfully saved the ball. Basílio Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Candido Alba sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute Florencio Martens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basílio Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Visen Garrido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 played minutes ☠QUINTERO☠ got a freekick which was hit by Próspero Ruiz Tagle. Leovigildo Zambrano came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by INTER FC's João Carlos Teixeira. But to his dismay, João Carlos Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 91st minute Visen Garrido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Alba in the 96th minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Basílio Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ☠QUINTERO☠ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ☠QUINTERO☠ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
