Spectators: 7709 (Terracing: 5783, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rogelio Madeo kicked off to start the match. Basílio Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Pietro in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Madeo came free, but Basílio Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basílio Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Pietro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enrique Urtsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Teixeira in the 49th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Emilio Serafo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, INTER FC's Tiago de Azevedo got a free kick in the 61st minute. Basílio Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Gaspard, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Florentino Gaspard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basílio Maranhense was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Emilio Serafo hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Vélez Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Luisinho Barbosa scored to the left of an out of position Enrique Urtsin, making the score, 4-1. INTER FC's Basílio Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Playo in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Playo came free, but Basílio Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Silas Romero came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the INTER FC fans jumped to their feet.
