Spectators: 7722 (Terracing: 5792, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rogelio Madeo got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Rogelio Madeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Gilen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Silvino charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Silvino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mateo Beturian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute Mateo Beturian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Urtsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Martin Silvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st match minute, Atletico Calamar Saavedra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Beturian to maneuver through the defense. In the 26thth minute of the game Fidel Pietro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Iker Gilen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Damaso Playo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iker Gilen having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Mateo Beturian got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Rogelio Madeo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Vélez Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Madeo couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Mateo Beturian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mateo Beturian to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Playo in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Gilen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 59 played minutes Vélez Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Gai. 62 minutes into the game, one of Atletico Calamar Saavedra:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Atletico Calamar Saavedra:s Iker Gilen showed great skill when he stopped Fidel Pietro:s penalty. Enrique Urtsin didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Iker Gilen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Madeo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. If Rogelio Madeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Enrique Urtsin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Atletico Calamar Saavedra booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Cristofol didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Guaberto Peruanton in the 85th minute really tested Enrique Urtsin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 99th match minute, Atletico Calamar Saavedra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Rioja to maneuver through the defense. In the 100th minute, Rogelio Madeo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
