Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseu Toscano to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Patrick Messias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capibaribe Stars and the El ABUELO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th minute Valdemar Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Lertxun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, El ABUELO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Antunes came free, but Marciano Lertxun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute of the match Blas Lauro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adhemar Vergílio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
