Spectators: 7696 (Terracing: 5773, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Juan Sorin took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 minutes, Juan Sorin made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. De Keikoppers's Rolf Saelens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Armand Zimmer kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 13 minutes De Keikoppers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Sorin who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Sorin in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolf Saelens saved De Keikoppers from getting behind. Paulus Polspoel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitor José having to interfere. Rolf Saelens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Carlos Gaspar's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Juan Sorin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Juan Sorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivo Mello's late challenge caught a De Keikoppers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivo Mello helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Ivo Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Gillekens, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. De Keikoppers's Rolf Saelens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Mazurkiewicz in the 34th minute of play. Tim Pellegrims kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Juan Sorin sped through De Keikoppers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolf Saelens. Rolf Saelens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Sorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of De Keikoppers booed when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carlos Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Tim Pellegrims from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Vitor José's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jesse Roeckeloes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Vitor José made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Steve De kaiser made the kick off in the second half. Jesse Roeckeloes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitor José having to interfere. When Juan Sorin came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Sorin couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, De Keikoppers's Armand Zimmer got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Steve De kaiser who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Vitor José was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ivo Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind De Keikoppers's goalkeeper Rolf Saelens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72ndth minute of the game Juan Sorin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Keikoppers's Rolf Saelens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after De Keikoppers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juan Sorin took the corner. Paulus Polspoel's late challenge caught a S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolf Saelens having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Sorin in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolf Saelens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute, Juan Sorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan Sorins short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Rolf Saelens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in De Keikoppers's zone, Ladislao Mazurkiewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Saelens came out of the goal and Ladislao Mazurkiewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Steve De kaiser came free, but Vitor José reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, De Keikoppers's Paulus Polspoel got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle sounded S.E.R. Caxias do Sul left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than De Keikoppers.
