Paul Piersic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Piers Maloney went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Wesley Ricketts got control of the ball when Basarab Balc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mihai Staicu lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of THE CRYSTAL SHIP:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Clapham Comets F.C.:s goal. The referee gave Clapham Comets F.C. a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chip Preece, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of THE CRYSTAL SHIP's Paul Piersic. 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chip Preece to strike the kick off in the second half. Barrie Elvins hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Paul Piersic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chip Preece, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The THE CRYSTAL SHIP supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Clapham Comets F.C.'s performance.
