Nouvelle Vague's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Ourente in the 9th minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Gilberto Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Beltza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nouvelle Vague's Niceto Regis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Nouvelle Vague from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Virgílio Dantas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niceto Regis. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. With a little luck, Nouvelle Vague's Niceto Regis got control of the ball when Renato Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Ramon Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nouvelle Vague's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Damario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute Ramon Damario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Brazil Academy's Renato Melo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niceto Regis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Armando Meira fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brazil Academy's protests and gave Armando Meira a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Brazil Academy got a freekick which was hit by Armando Meira. In the 42nd minute, Vladimir Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the match, Brazil Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Damario came free, but Gilberto Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 minutes, Dario Celipe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nouvelle Vague and the Brazil Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Dario Celipe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Ourente might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Abraão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tobias Ourente ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aquilino Pagomari during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Nouvelle Vague was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Pagomari to maneuver through the defense. Virgílio Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robustiano Lluterio in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Abraão saved Brazil Academy from getting behind. After 65 played minutes Brazil Academy got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos Araújo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Melo in the 73rd minute of play forced Nouvelle Vague's goalkeeper Niceto Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimir Koehler hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The Nouvelle Vague fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Nouvelle Vague's Cornelio Jokin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Niceto Regis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Melo in the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Nouvelle Vague's Ramon Damario got a free kick in the 87th minute. Niceto Regis came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Brazil Academy's Armando Meira. But to his dismay, Armando Meira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Niceto Regis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Meira in the 93rd minute of play. During the 94th minute of the match Aquilino Pagomari completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aquilino Pagomari a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aquilino Pagomari hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Thomás Massa, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
