Spectators: 7816 (Terracing: 5864, Seating: 1797, VIP seats: 155) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gustavo Duarte started the match with the kick off. When Maurício Peseiro fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minho FC's protests and gave Maurício Peseiro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Callegari booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Peseiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 played minutes, Callegari's Ramón Paraibano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Egídio Loureiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Callegari reached it. Paulo Renato Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 played minutes Callegari got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Bezerra. Xavier Lamego hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Callegari's Eduardo Bezerra got a free kick in the 17th minute. Callegari's Paulo Renato Falcão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Callegari from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Gustavo Duarte put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Egídio Loureiro. Callegari's Paulo Renato Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vilas Boas in the 33rd minute of play. When Callegari's Gustavo Duarte in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Minho FC's goalie prevented a goal. Egídio Loureiro came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Callegari's Gustavo Duarte. But to his dismay, Gustavo Duarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 38th match minute, Minho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Bulhosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Maurício Peseiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Xavier Lamego hit a great ball. Egídio Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Duarte in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egídio Loureiro saved Minho FC from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Minho FC's Egídio Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Tinoco in the 53rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, João Vilas Boas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Duarte did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Egídio Loureiro 76 minutes into the match. After 78 played minutes Callegari got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto de Godoi. After some careless play in the Callegari defense, Marco Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Renato Falcão. The Callegari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Renato Falcão should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guto Tinoco during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Minho FC booed when Callegari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guto Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Minho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Paraibano came free, but Egídio Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egídio Loureiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ramón Paraibano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 92 minute of play. The Minho FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Callegari's performance. The match ended with a win for Callegari.
