The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Claes Kirn came free, but Wellington Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toralf Noldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Bueno in the 5th minute of the match. With a little luck, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Toralf Noldt got control of the ball when Daniel Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wellington Baiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Volker Biermann went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Daniel Bueno in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Toralf Noldt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Ekzema F.V. getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Samuca Tróia hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ekzema F.V.'s zone, Claes Kirn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Baiano came out of the goal and Claes Kirn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wellington Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Volker Biermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Ekzema F.V. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Fernando Batista hit a great ball. After 37 minutes of play, Ekzema F.V.'s Samuca Tróia made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toralf Noldt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Toralf Noldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 54thth minute of the game Daniel Bueno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Toralf Noldt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Ekzema F.V. getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Franklin Maia hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Tommy Trunschke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Claes Kirn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ekzema F.V.'s Claudinei Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Daniel Bueno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Toralf Noldt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute of the match Franklin Maia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toralf Noldt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Volker Biermann got free with Wellington Baiano in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Ekzema F.V. getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Franklin Maia hit a great ball. Tommy Trunschke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Wellington Baiano made a huge save. When Volker Biermann came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Volker Biermann couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Ekzema F.V. could leave the field as winners, despite 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz having more of the ball for most of the match.
