The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Antonia Webb looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonia Webb in the 21st minute of play forced INIXET BK's goalkeeper Peter Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Sandberg charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Sport Lisboa e Benfica booed when INIXET BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Sandberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as INIXET BK's Arvin Månsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Irving Dennis. That made the score 2-2 after 26 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonia Webb in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Sjögren saved INIXET BK from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boniface Fulton in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Sjögren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th match minute, INIXET BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Ekgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute of the match Georges Christopher sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peter Sjögren skillfully saved the ball. After 38 minutes, Boniface Fulton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sport Lisboa e Benfica and the INIXET BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 57 played minutes INIXET BK got a freekick which was hit by Sten Ekgren. 58 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Georges Christopher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Sjögren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Irving Dennis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Galle in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of INIXET BK booed when Sport Lisboa e Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlton Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baptiste Beck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Peter Sjögren came out and tried to block the shot, but Baptiste Beck slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 90th minute. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Irving Dennis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvin Månsson in the 97th minute of play. The INIXET BK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sport Lisboa e Benfica were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
