In the 4th minute, Ground Control's Youri Lignon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cauã Pitta. Cauã Pitta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 8th minute, Jorge Prata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Josselin Portet was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 11 played minutes Ground Control got a freekick which was hit by Just Bazoge. After a rather tough play, Ground Control's Just Bazoge got a free kick in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Sanches in the 16th minute of play forced Ground Control's goalkeeper Josselin Portet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauã Pitta made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Youri Lignon sent off a good shot on target. Thierry Fouet kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Ground Control's Josselin Portet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Porto in the 22nd minute of play. João Carlos Paranaense lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 25th match minute, Bem Bolado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carlos Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Sylvain Chiffoleau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ground Control's supporters rose to their feet, but Sylvain Chiffoleau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cauã Pitta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Just Bazoge hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Ground Control's Josselin Portet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Saraiva in the 28th minute of play. Just Bazoge's late challenge caught a Bem Bolado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Just Bazoge helped the player get up and apologised. Cristóvão Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Just Bazoge hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Bem Bolado's goalkeeper Cauã Pitta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Youri Lignon. Ground Control's Josselin Portet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Saraiva in the 43rd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Youri Lignon was the one to do the kick off. When Sylvain Chiffoleau came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ground Control fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sylvain Chiffoleau couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Bem Bolado defense, Just Bazoge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cauã Pitta. The Bem Bolado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cauã Pitta should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the game, Róbson Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bem Bolado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ground Control the free kick. After 62 played minutes Bem Bolado got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Araújo. Ground Control's Josselin Portet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Sanches in the 67th minute of play. Cauã Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sylvain Chiffoleau in the 68th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes Bem Bolado got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Araújo. Cauã Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Just Bazoge in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Adhemar Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josselin Portet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thierry Fouet's late challenge caught a Bem Bolado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 89th minute of the match Sidney Peres sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Josselin Portet skillfully saved the ball. After 90 minutes, Alphonse Mathevet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ground Control and the Bem Bolado players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ground Control getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Alphonse Mathevet hit a great ball. Cauã Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youri Lignon, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
