When Severino Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Mestre GG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Quintal couldn't finish the play. Wilian Fonseca took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Marchegiani. Angelo Marchegiani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Gladiator FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Dave Gambini hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's Wilian Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelo Marchegiani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Gladiator FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Marchegiani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Mestre GG's Enio Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Rinaldi in the 27th minute of play. Enio Pinho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ferruccio Rinaldi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 37 minute of play. Wilian Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Angelo Marchegiani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mestre GG. Angelo Marchegiani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilian Fonseca in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabiano Tatangelo to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Mestre GG getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Fabiano Rossi hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Angelo Marchegiani was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from João Francisco Mota. In the 72nd minute, Hernani Lira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Gladiator FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Lira came free, but Angelo Marchegiani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Macedo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Enio Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Ubriaco, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After taking down the ball on Gladiator FC's corner Fabiano Tatangelo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Enio Pinho quite easily take care of the ball. Bianco Carozza's late challenge caught a Mestre GG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee ignored Gladiator FC's protests and gave Fulvio Di Prinzio a yellow card for diving instead. Fulvio Di Prinzio hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Angelo Marchegiani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Lira in the 91st minute of the match. After 92 minutes Gladiator FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was João Francisco Mota who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Mestre GG booed when Gladiator FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gladiator FC's Angelo Marchegiani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Gladiator FC from getting a goal against them. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
